Petřín Above Prague

It's been a week since we arrived in Europe. We enjoyed our stay in fascinating Vienna and have since traveled to beautiful Prague. Dr. Brown was absolutely right when he said that Prague is a supermodel city. The views are stunning and there's just something especially gorgeous about reflections on the Vltava River.

Today, like most days here, included a substantial amount of walking; to the tram or the hostel, uphill and down, if we're heading anywhere, we're on our feet.

We wanted to catch the views from the Petřín Tower with a tip 64 meters above Petřín Hill, so naturally we chose the steepest possible path up 130 meters to the summit. Dr. Powell had suggested previously that we take the tram up the hill, but of course we weren't about to pay actual money for something we could just do for free with more time and effort. It may have been a chilly day, like every day here in the winter, but we were sweating after climbing both the hill and tower, wobbly knees and all. Despite the climb, or perhaps because of it, the panorama from the peak of the tower was particularly breathtaking.

I'm looking forward to the many adventures left to be begun this month. Gotta keep working towards those calves of steel.
