Wrapping Up Leipzig

This town is surely the least “touristy” which is nice being that the last two cities we have been to are big tourist hotspots. People here are very nice but not as many speak fluent English as in the other cities, so there had been a bit of pointing at menus, and making hand gestures.

The first night we were here Benjamin, Jerdil, Frank, and I went to an outdoor restaurant and we all ordered schnitzel and it came with eggs, potatoes, and a small salad. It more than hit the spot, especially since we were all hungry! It was very interesting the have eggs with schnitzel, but it was so good I got it again at Schnitzel Culture with dinner on the 17th. I think it’s a new favorite!
The best Schnitzel yet!
The night of the 17th we went to an Irish Show. They were called the Danceperados of Ireland. This was the most “rowdy” show we have been too being that all of the others have been ballets or more classical concerts. We were able to clap along and “yahoo!” from the crowd when something was exciting. The concert was very interesting to me because there was song and dance from Ireland and it was preformed so well. I think everyone should experience something similar to this at least once.

As I am writing this post, we are waiting to hear the Motette, in St. Thomas Kirche. This is the same boys choir that started in Bach’s time and that he himself conducted and wrote music for each week. I am excited to hear this choir and be able to worship in Bach’s church.
